About the Role:

The Powder Coat Painter is responsible for applying high-quality powder coating finishes to a variety of metal and other surfaces, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal. This role involves preparing surfaces through cleaning, sanding, and masking to achieve optimal coating adhesion and finish quality. The Powder Coat Painter will operate spray equipment and curing ovens, adhering to safety protocols and production schedules to meet customer specifications. Attention to detail is critical to identify and correct imperfections, ensuring each product meets stringent quality standards. Ultimately, this position contributes to the production of finished goods that are both visually appealing and resistant to corrosion and wear, supporting overall manufacturing excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in powder coating or industrial painting.
• Ability to operate spray equipment and curing ovens safely.
• Basic understanding of surface preparation techniques.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in powder coating application or related industrial finishing processes.
• Experience with different types of powder coating materials and finishes.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures and inspection standards.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards such as OSHA regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure proper powder coating application.
• Operate powder coating spray equipment and curing ovens safely and efficiently.
• Inspect coated items for defects and perform touch-ups or rework as necessary to meet quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and environmental regulations.
